Our dependable weather forecaster arrived today, and its official here at Val-e-vue Resort, SPRING has arrived and its only March 8.  The pretty little magnolia trees are always the first to show their happy little blooms and its always a welcome site after winter.

Will and his family came down from Il for a couple days of fishing and they had 44 crappie keepers yesterday morning along off the dock.  They were very happy to be hooking 10.5 to 11' crappie this early in the season.  Some guests in a couple weeks ago had similar success, so we are thinking early spring fishing is going to be awesome.  Check your calendar and give us a call, we have some of our units open and ready to go!

Camdenton MO Resorts, Lake of the Ozarks Fun

     Looking for something new and fun to do at the lake when you stay at Val-e-vue Resort.  New to Camdenton is the Dragon Ridge Disc Golf Course located in the Camdenton Community Park.  The ten hole golf course will be opening March 2012, and will be free to the public.  Its open year round from dawn to dusk.  This is fun for all ages and at that price its a win win for the whole family!!

Ice Cream Sandwich Dessert

This wonderful, easy dessert comes to you from one of our guests here at Val-e-vue Resort.  Every Memorial Day here at Lake of the Ozarks this fun family always treats us to some amazing dishes.  Karen Deimeke has passed this on to me and believe me, she doesn't even get the dish set down and everyone wants to dig in. Summer will be here before you know it, so on this cold January day you can enjoy thinking of some warm days ahead.

Ice Cream Sandwiches
Cool whip
your favorite candy bar crumbled


You can use a pan of your choice.  Simply put a single layer of ice cream sandwiches on the bottom of your pan, cover with the cool whip and cover with you candy crumbles or other favorite topping.  Leave it in the freezer until you want to serve.

Amish Store

This summer when you visit Val-e-vue Resort at beautiful Lake of the Ozarks, we discovered a fun little Amish Country store in Tunis, about a 40 min drive from the resort.  There is a large selection of bulk goods with small to large sizes, frozen foods, cheeses, spices, candy and baking goods.  It makes for a nice drive or maybe it could be plan B if the weather isn't cooperating.
